The spatial separation of loading and order picking offers at least two decisive advantages. Firstly, it can significantly increase safety in warehouse operations. The most common cause of accidents in warehouses is collisions between industrial trucks - such as forklifts or pallet trucks - and people. This risk can be significantly reduced by separating order picking personnel and forklift traffic.
Secondly, this separation makes it easier to implement the FIFO principle (First In - First Out) in warehouse logistics. This means that the oldest goods are always picked first - a particularly important aspect for perishable goods. Floor pull-outs, which are loaded from the rear, effectively support this principle and enable smooth warehouse turnover.
Floor mounted heavy-duty pull-out units - up to 1.500 kgs capacity load!
LOADING FROM THE FORKLIFT AISLE REMOVAL FROM PICKING AISLE
Quite often the shelves are loaded from the front, the picking aisle. Our floor mounted pull-out units are designed for this type of loading as standard. However, we also offer our heavy-duty floor pull-outs for customers where loading is carried out from the forklift aisle, i.e. the back of the shelves. Loading and removal are then carried out from different sides.
A "U" BECOMES AN "E": CENTRAL STRUT PROVIDES STABILITY
The heavy-duty floor pull-outs are designed for loading with high loads of up to 1.500 kg. Therefore we equip these floor pull-outs with an additional middle leg, so that these pull-outs have an "E" shape. With this additional middle strut, the load is now distributed more evenly on 3 heavy-duty castors in the feet, compared to floor pull-outs which have only 2 struts. Floor extensions for low loading capacities can be found at this link.
EDGES ON THREE SIDES FOR CENTERING
All our floor pull-outs are equipped with lateral stop edges and a rear stop edge. These edges help to ensure that the pallets (or mesh boxes) are centred on the pull-outs and do not protrude to the sides or back.
DIFFERENT UNLOCKING OPTIONS & 85% PULL-OUT DEPTH
When retracted, the floor mounted pull-out units are always locked automatically. Before the pull-out units are pulled out, they must be unlocked. With the standard handle, the unlocking is done by a lever integrated in the handle, with the Easy-Action handle the unlocking is done automatically when the handle is pulled. In the variant with foot lock, the lock is released by a foot lever and the unit is pulled out on the load carrier, e.g. a mesh box.
The pull-out units can then be pulled out of the shelf by 85% and thus the goods are easily and quickly accessible at any time in the rear shelf area.
